The MOCKINGBIRD is best known for mimicking the songs of other birds and sounds of insects. Many people vacillate as they chase the latest trend. Some wait until the crowd makes up their minds for them. As long as you can sing their song you will not be lonely, you can follow along, hoping that someone will say you are in. Repeating all the things you have overheard you are like A MOCKINGBIRD.

Our culture has created a reward system in which you get points for tearing down rather than building up. Pessimism like all destruction is easy. Pessimism or cynicism is a calcification of the soul. The Wharton School did a study that showed a critical reviewer appears to be 16% more “intelligent” than a favorable reviewer. It is easy to follow others and to criticize, so to show how “intelligent” one can appear to be. DON’T BE A MOCKINGBIRD.

Assist others, build upon other’s ideas. Let us not tear their ideas down, look for the value in what they are presenting. You will obtain more intelligence by investing in collaboration and carrying an idea to a higher level. Let’s not fall into A MOCKINGBIRD CHARACTERISTIC. We have to maintain our own self-respect and GIVE RECOGNITION TO OUR SOULS.

LET US ALL SING THE SONG OF TRUTH, COLLABORATION, RESPECT OF OTHERS PERSPECTIVES AND NOT BECOME A MOCKINGBIRD.
