Everybody on a team is different_, BUT WE ALL HAVE THE SAME MISSION. The definition of TEAMWORK is; COLLABORATION, PARTNERSHIP, COOPERATION. There are LEADERS on ALL LEVELS of an organization. The PARTNERSHIP should go from the top of the organization throughout ALL LEVELS of the establishment. It is up to ALL LEADERS to suppress the EGOS of those few who are not COLLABORATING. These people should be assured that they will be judged by their TEAMWORK and not their individual pursuits. WE ARE NOTHING WITHOUT OUR TEAM. START THE CULTURE.

The organization should serve ALL EMPLOYEES, the core, before the bottom line is focused upon. By satisfying ALL, eventually a shared prosperity will be obtained. Some people think greed is good, but over and over it has been proven that ultimate generosity is better. If the CORE is taken care of then ALL in the TEAM will pull together to ASSIST each other to accomplish the MISSION. ALL THE LEADERS CREATE THE CULTURE.

The biggest lesson in the life of a past CEO of Charles Schwab, Walt Bettinger, was learned while in college. He was in his last business class, he had a 4.0 average. His final test in college was only one question. The teacher said; “I have taught you all you have to know for the last ten weeks. The question is; What is the name of the lady who cleans the building?” Walt didn’t know Dottie’s name, He failed the test and got a B in the course. Walt said that was his biggest career lesson. After that he knew all the Dottie’s.

What he took from that was what really matters in life is that we should never lose sight of ALL THE PEOPLE who do the work in the ORGANIZATION. THE TEAM. A LEADER should be VULNERABLE. They should open up. A good LEADER should have a following of people that seek with their HEART not their head. To inspire people to do that, requires TRANSPARENCY, AUTHENTICITY, VULNERABILITY. REMEMBER, ALL THE LEADERS CREATE THE CULTURE.

EVERYBODY IS A LEADER, START NOW. WE ARE NOTHING WITHOUT OUR TEAM. RIGHT??
