“I”…Sheng-Yen, Winnegrad

Our greatest enemy is our own minds. We are in conflict with ourselves very often. We worry about gain and loss, right and wrong. This is true misery for many of us. Misery can come in the form of greed, anger, ignorance, arrogance or doubt. What we experience is temporary and is constantly changing. If we get attached to one of these “temporary’ items we can develop a SUFFERING. If we develop an understanding of many things as temporary, we then can approach WISDOM, a realization of Impermanence.

WE tend to attach ourselves to illusions which produce a SUFFERING. To eliminate the SUFFERING we must let go of our attachment to the sense of “I.” Release ourselves from our minds so we can gain freedom from our SUFFERING and therefore approach enlightenment and WISDOM. Those who gain WISDOM should dedicate their lives to the benefit of others, so they in turn will be freed of their SUFFERING.

If we appreciate each happiness we receive in every day, we are “reborn” each time. If those whom we assist show no gratitude, we should have no regret. This is our WISDOM. The mind must be saved more than the body. Those that are with a healthy body and a mind not at peace, will suffer more than a person with a peaceful mind. Those with a peaceful mind will be less afflicted by physical difficulties.

TAKE CARE, STAY WELL, STAY HEALTHY. HAVE FAITH. THANK YOU.
