I have been accused all my many years of being LIKE A CHILD. In my mid-years I learned that it was a hidden compliment. It is a treasure to be considered to have a CHILD-LIKE mind according to the Taoist philosophy.

The adult is not the highest stage of development. Where to be is at the stage of a clear-minded, all-seeing CHILD. That is the level known as WISDOM. It is also said that one should, “return to the beginning; become a CHILD again.” That is why those with WISDOM are filled with light and happiness as a CHILD. They even dress as a CHILD. The minds of these people are emptied of the countless unnecessary knowledge and left with WISDOM. 

That voice that is left within the brain, is called the voice of WISDOM and simplicity. That is the voice that reasons beyond cleverness and knows beyond knowledge. That voice is the power and property of all. JUST MAKE USE OF IT. WE ALL HAVE IT, WISDOM. Do not be afraid to be considered child-like. Wear mismatched socks, wear clothes that is not color coordinated. Act CHILD-LIKE. IF you can not demonstrate WISDOM, you can appear like you have WISDOM, IT IS ENJOYABLE.
