TO GROW…M. Seligman, Winnegrad

There are no shortcuts TO GROW.  TO GROW, to advance, one must have; positive emotions, self-esteem, optimism and purpose. Keep a daily gratitude journal so your life will be happier  on a daily basis. Most of us think too much about what goes wrong in our life. This negative attention sets us up for anxiety and depression. THINK MORE ON WHAT WENT WELL. This will help us feel secure.

Besides learning work skills, we also have to learn the skills of well-being. Skills for well-being such as; positive emotions, better relationships, more purpose and worth. To acquire these skills it is important to take time for meditation and short walks amongst some trees. Having well-being skills enables us to hear criticism without getting defensive. A positive mood produces broader attention, a more creative thinking.

John Wooden said; “You are not a failure until you deny your mistakes.” Even a genius has to work at their abilities, it all comes from effort. We pay too much attention to our failures and not enough to our successes. Keep in mind on what Buddha said; “What we think, we become.”

Remember in past posts; failure is a step in the ladder of success. There is always something to learn from our producing a mistake.

TAKE CARE, STAY WELL, STAY HEALTHY. HAVE FAITH. THANK YOU.
