Through a REWARD to oneself or to another with a little gift for doing homework, or a task, one can get through the challenge more easily with pleasure and satisfaction. In 1960, the psychologist David Premack developed the principle of; Doing something you do not want to do, is easier if there is a REWARD following it. Some recent studies have found that REWARDING oneself with a “tiny” treat can help improve your work and your happiness. It has been found that an immediate REWARD can motivate more, because it links the REWARD directly with the task. It is not how big the REWARD is but how quickly one receives it, that really matters.
It is not the REWARD itself but how the REWARD makes you feel that helps you do your best. The reason why, is because REWARDS boost dopamine levels in the brain that then processes pleasure. It is important that the REWARDS chosen do make you happy and contribute positively to your well-being. This could be a cup of coffee, a scoop of ice-cream or taking a walk amongst the trees. This REWARDING aspect works from children to older adults. SMILE.
TAKE CARE, STAY WELL, STAY HEALTHY. HAVE FAITH. THANK YOU.

I like to treat myself to a nice bike ride to play some pickleball with friends. Cathartic and rewarding.
Love you.
