EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE which is, self-awareness, empathy and social skills can be developed. Studies have shown that EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE is twice as important as the IQ. It has been shown that we can intentionally change our brains with the proper training. Between stimulus and response there is a space. Within that space lies our power to chose our response. A mind of clarity increases that space. By relaxing through meditation affects ones concentration. Meditation makes the mind calmer and more perceptive which allows one to focus their attention stronger and longer.
A huge amount of suffering we experience is from the mind holding onto something and not letting it go. When we are triggered we should try to; stop, breathe deeply, reflect on the emotion and then imagine a kind response to the trigger. Just treat the emotion as a friend. Meditation produces inner-calm, which then produces resilience.
We pay much more attention to our failures and too little to our successes. Meditation helps us with self-awareness to our empathy. Through meditation we become more calm, with clarity and with happiness. Inner happiness is contagious. INFECT EVERYONE.
