From the Creator came a great unifying life force that flowed in, and flowed through all things; the flowers, trees, birds, animals and into the first man. Therefore all things are related. So all creatures and plants had rights, the rights to have man’s protection. So they can live, multiply and be free. So the animals were never enslaved and the plants and animals were not destroyed unless needed for food. This relationship gave the American Indian people a loving humanizing feeling. This also gave a feeling of equal importance.

All creatures were of one blood and therefore could not be disliked. This gave all the people a feeling of humbleness. Knowing that the two-legged, the four legged, the wings of the air and all green things that live are brothers and sisters, is such a wonderful feeling of love and comfort. We thank the Creator for giving us this wonderful unifying force of life.
