DON’T LET THE OLD MAN IN…Winnegrad

I received this song from a very dear friend. The song was written for Clint Eastwood’s 88th Birthday by Toby Keith. Toby asked Clint, “how do you keep going?” Clint answered by telling him, “each morning I get up and DON’T LET THE OLD MAN IN.” This advice is definitely perfect for older individuals. But younger people should keep it in the back of their minds so that they are able to use the power of the thought in their future.

The song goes on to say, “Can’t leave it up to him. He’s knocking on my door. And I knew all of my life that someday it would end. Get up and go outside . DON’T LET THE OLD MAN IN.” It’s all in one’s attitude. This song is telling one not to give up and just wait. It all depends on what you believe and how one carries out the belief. I know a 98 year old lady. She is like a mother to me. I call her MA. And MA lives this song without knowing the song. Ma never lets the OLD LADY IN. She is like medicine in a bottle to whoever talks to  her.

The song ends with, “When he rides up on his horse and you feel that cold bitter wind. Look out your window and smile. DON’T LET THE OLD MAN IN.”

TAKE CARE, STAY WELL, STAY HEALTHY. HAVE FAITH. THANK YOU.
