Hopefully it is; “so that we actually feel the BLISS of being alive,” says Joseph Campbell. Many of us are involved in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget the inner value, the BLISS. We forget the spirituality of helping others, of collaborating, of completing the CIRCLE. What destroys reason is greed.
Native Americans addressed all of life as a “spirit”; the trees, the stones, people, everything. This can change your own psychology. The ego that sees a “spirit” is not the same ego that sees a “thing.” If your ears are open to the song of the universe, you will be well rewarded with feeling the BLISS while collaborating with others. Campbell says; “life is pain, but compassion is what gives it the possibility of continuing.” We must turn our minds to the human values of self giving, of sharing, of helping.
So what are you to do; think of fortune for yourself, or sharing your knowledge with others so that you gain wisdom and the BLISS of life. Campbell says; “when we quit thinking of ourselves and our own self-preservation, we undergo the transformation of consciousness,” into the inner value, the BLISS. Saving a person, supporting an idea is so spiritual. The voyage is its own reward.
Let your heart come alive. That is WHY YOU ARE HERE.
