MIND WHISPERING… Goleman, Winnegrad

                               

Our manner of being can be sorted into two main categories: wise or deluded. In our bewildered manner, our perceptions are off emotionally, and we focus on our small-minded world. We perceive the world and limit our decisions with a bias. But in our wiser manner, we see clearly, without a distortion, which enhances our empathy. The destructive manner of the mind give rise to worry, greed, envy, hatred and producing a self-absorbed manner.

You can’t change the TRUTH, but you are always free to change your perspective. MIND WHISPERING integrates MINDFULNESS with habit change. Thought is a learned response, which can be changed by a new learning. The MIND WHISPERING is a soft, still voice that can stop your craziness. Choosing what to adopt and what to avoid is the essence of habit change. Meditation is a tool used in the most fundamental habit change: from confusion to clarity, delusion to wisdom. Stop all knee-jerk impulses. Every time we free ourselves from the grip of habit, that very act is a small liberation, a reward in itself. To do this with a MINDFUL pause, will give us greater choice in how we respond. Creating a gap between impulse and action strengthen the mind’s self-governing abilities. MINDFULNESS acts like a mental immune system, roaming its domain to repel undesirable invaders. During meditation we notice when our minds have wandered and lets us return our focus to what is at hand. You will be aware of what is happening in that moment and not being concerned of the future moment.

 MEDITATION is a practice that is repeated until it becomes a habit. Concentrating on your breath, will then be your anchor. You will see that fear, and other negative manners are in your mind, not in the actual situation. Bob Marley sang—“Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery. None but ourselves can free our mind.” This is entering the mode of wise compassion. The five qualities that lead to the mode of wisdom are; GENEROSITY, ETHICS, PATIENCE, FOCUS, PERSEVERANCE. Be as the leaves on the lotus flower, repel all dirt and muddiness. With MIND WHISPERING, the choice can be ours.

With the developing of MIND WHISPERING a beautiful, rewarding perspective is developed. The concept of “WE” embodies how everything in the universe is interconnected. Us and them, evaporate into a sense of oneness. A GIFT OF MIND WHISPERING.
