WHAT EVERYONE NEEDS…Winnegrad

It is nice to hear another person’s opinion on you— but relying on other people’s opinion on you can leave you feeling insecure and down on yourself. WHAT EVERYONE NEEDS to know is that one’s self approval is key to self-confidence. One has to talk to themselves as they would talk to a close friend. Try phrases such as; I’m doing my best and that is enough, or this is hard I’m proud of myself for hanging in there, or Everyone makes mistakes I can try again later.

Don’t allow negative comments about you or negative thoughts about you go unchallenged or else they become habits. We have to pay attention to our inner critic and not let it run wild without being challenged. Question the inner negative thoughts with; What if that belief is not true? Or, is that a total exaggeration?  Release any negative criticism by accepting that everyone can make a mistake. ALWAYS, ALWAYS do not compare yourself to others.

When negative thoughts creep into your mind, talk to yourself with positive thoughts as you would to a close friend. Make it a habit to catch those negative self-critical thoughts and reframe them. When an achievement is obtained, celebrate it. Talk to yourself and recite the positive happenings.

When you talk to yourself you must talk out loud so the thought is brought out from so much turmoil in the brain. Some of us are nervous about talking out loud to ourselves. So I have talked to a teddy bear by the name of Grizz, for 50 years. I took Grizz to work for those 50 years. I utilized his friendship and big ears constantly every day. GRIZZ WAS SUCCESSFUL. The criticism of my talking to Grizz was minor.

TAKE CARE, STAY WELL, STAY HEALTHY. HAVE FAITH. THANK YOU.

  1. Thank you for this reminder that perspective is a choice and there at at least two ways to look at something.

Breathing in, I’m doing my best is enough, and certainly has it’s benefits when appreciating this acceptance.

    Love you ~ Namaste
