LISTEN TO LEARN…Chief Shenandoah, Winnegrad

The following are more wise, comforting words from Chief Shenandoah.

You can learn a lot more when you are listening than when you are talking. I never knew anybody who learned anything by talking. Until you start listening you will never have too much to talk about because you never learned anything. If you do not know anything, it will not take too long before there will be nobody listening to what you say. So, it is better to sit and listen instead of talking. People will start paying attention to you if you are just sitting. They will be wondering what is going through your mind. Then, when you speak up, they will all be listening. Somebody who is always talking soon shows what he knows. Usually it is not much. Their head is empty. They never stopped long enough to fill it with anything of value for the good of the people.

The Creator gave us ears, and ears are not mouths. The ears were put on the side of our heads so we can hear what is going on around us. That is to let us know things before we talk. Our mouths are on the front of our face so we can direct our words. The gift of speech should be used for specific purposes. Watch what you say, someone is always listening. Be certain that what you say is good and truthful.

SUCH BEAUTIFUL WORDS TO TREASURE.

TAKE CARE, STAY WELL, STAY HEALTHY. HAVE FAITH. BEAR THE LOVE. THANK YOU.
