It is difficult to swim upstream, but do we know which way the stream is flowing? Lao Tzu believed that a constant awareness of the PATTERNS IN NATURE will bring us insights into the parallel patterns in human behavior.
Much of our energy is wasted in supporting our beliefs, defending them, and convincing others to believe in them so that they become “PERMANENT.” Once we accept the shortsightedness in this, we gain power by using the PATTERNS IN NATURE to our advantage—- ACCEPTING, INCORPORATING, and SUPPORTING CHANGE when and where it wants to occur.
Our cooperation with the FORCES IN NATURE makes us a part of those forces. Our decisions become resourceful because they are based on an evolving reality which is not fixed or not on wishful thinking. We then can develop the future with the power of our vision of the PATTERNS OF NATURE.
Developing an awareness of these laws of THE PATTERNS OF NATURE as they become visible in human culture, is a major component of personal growth and development. You can shape events with the power of your attitude. An individual that is aware of the PATTERNS OF NATURE is compassionate in their emotional and intellectual feelings.
Those in life that are attached to little and live the PATTERNS OF CHANGE by accepting the inevitable changes will EXPERIENCE ALL. By limiting external dependencies and moving toward emotional independence one demonstrates their understanding of THE PATTERNS OF NATURE. As in nature change is constant, to continue to be of value in this life of change we must be willing to ACCEPT, INCORPORATE, and SUPPORT CHANGE. THIS EVOLVING as a person is the beginning of WISDOM. There is nothing that is PERMANENT, in nature or at work.
