A MAGNIFYING LENS TO REALITY…Winnegrad

The following quote from Georgia O’Keeffe altered my way of working with fragrance the third year of my 53 year career. Miss O’Keeffe said; “I found that I could say things with COLOR and SHAPES what I could not say in any other way, things that I had no words for.” It is a MAGNIFYING LENS TO REALITY. Those close-up interpretations in her paintings is a way of removing our blinders that we have on as we rush through life. Doing as such allows us to see things as they truly are. Georgia O’Keeffe painted the flowers big so you can learn to take the time and to really see them. Seeing the magnified flower we shed our concepts and see REALITY. Emotionally, life or REALITY is then perceived correctly. This philosophy was my foundation for developing fragrances after my first three years as a perfumer.

I realize now that this philosophy of seeing REALITY THROUGH A MAGNIFYING LENS can be utilized in life regularly. To understand anything, another person’s perspective, a fundamental belief, is to use the MAGNIFYING LENS TO REALITY and not let the emotions distort the LENS TO REALITY. MAGNIFYING THE REALITY opens the path to understanding. THANK YOU GEORGIA O’KEEFFE!!!

Use the MAGNIFYING LENS TO REALITY, look at the big picture, resolving life’s issues could be accomplished easier. Georgia O’Keeffe gave us a gift , besides her beautiful paintings, but a MAGNIFYING LENS TO REALITY IN LIFE. LET US ALL USE THE GIFT.

TAKE CARE, ALWAYS STAY WELL, ALWAYS STAY HEALTHY.
