THE SEARCH FOR SELF-KNOWLEDGE…Winnegrad

THE SEARCH FOR SELF-KNOWLEDGE begins with dislodging ourselves from the false sense of security of being accepted by the status quo. Once we realize where we are, then we can SEARCH FOR SELF-KNOWLEDGE. When SELF-KNOWLEDGE is found we will then  realize better health, mentally and physically. Many people focus on success, money, material and technical rewards, very little on KINDNESS and RELATIONSHIPS.

Because of this our EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE is taking a back seat to material and technical intelligence. A person with EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE knows that LOVE is not only a feeling but a skill as well. It requires a constant development of TRUST, VULNERABILITY and GRATEFULNESS. This gives a working person TRUE MEANING in life, much more than what material or technical gains can give alone.

Our educational system fails at making EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE one of the goals of education. The educational system focuses on the belief that accumulated information alone is WISDOM. True WISDOM is LOVE with accumulated information. A TRUE WISE person has KNOWLEDGE with understanding and thoughtfulness, traits that include LOVE.

Finding the SELF-KNOWLEDGE which includes EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE is extremely rewarding for the individual that walks with both. By demonstrating your EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE you will educate others. Another reward to accumulate through life. HAVE FUN WITH YOUR NEW FOUND SELF-KNOWLEDGE AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE.

TAKE CARE, ALWAYS STAY WELL,  ALWAYS STAY HEALTHY. THANK YOU.

  1. It’s true, many people focus on what I consider to be the wrong things, typically themselves and what benefits them. I think we should all focus more on what we can give and what we can do to make someone’s life better with no expectation of reward. It’s a journey and I will keep trying. 💜
