Emerson said; “In such a group think society, conformity is the most prized virtue.” Added to that thought Marie Bullock wrote, “Life would be dull indeed without experimenters and courageous breakers-with-tradition.” Why are OUT OF THE BOX thinkers punished, ostracized and at times ridiculed? As long as the OUT OF THE BOX idea benefits ALL PEOPLE, it definitely should be a consideration. Nonconformity helps to shape the future without being shackled by the past.

Ben Shahn said that; “all art is based upon nonconformity and every great historical change has been based upon nonconformity. Without nonconformity we would have no Bill of Rights, no Magna Carta, no public education system, no nation, no science, no philosophy.” Nonconformity is a necessity to good thinking that benefits ALL. Which then will produce growth of EVERYONE in every society.

 There are those that are biased toward OUT OF THE BOX ideas because we all are wired to reduce uncertainty in our lives. They are pushed out of their psychological comfort zones. To break with tradition is to live OUTSIDE OF THE BOX. Everybody has the capacity to, and should, THINK OUT OF THE BOX. The nonconformity exists in all of us. We should be “allowed” to show our creativity without any fear of repercussion. Think of all the wonderful ideas that are being locked up because of the group think society we live in. The human brain is influenced by the opinions of others, and thus conformity occurs. You will never come up with an OUT OF THE BOX idea, that could benefit all mankind, if you are afraid of negative criticism. 

YOUR SPIRIT NEEDS TO BELIEVE AND YOUR MIND NEEDS THE CHALLENGE. SO, GET OUT OF THE BOX AND BENEFIT ALL MANKIND.
