“The real and most dangerous opponents we face are fear, anger, confusion, doubt and despair. If we overcome those enemies that attack us from within, we can attain a true victory over any attack from without,” said M. Ueshiba.
An inferior person thinks only of the goal and how he can contrive to reach it. The superior person fixes his attention on seeing that his path is correct, he doesn’t think of a goal, he reaches it because of his way of life. The person LIVING TAO lives with six qualities; HUMILITY, ETHICS, PATIENCE, FOCUS, PERSEVERANCE and EMPATHY. Everything earned through these qualities is a gift.
Don’t let the reasoning of the intellect imprison your intuitive perception. Fear gives strength to your ego. We react as an organized response to events. To explain is one thing; to defend is to become engaged with the other person’s ego. .
We don’t despair when we make mistakes; if we slide backwards we accept the setback and start again from this new place without attaching ourselves to the idea of failure. We let go of past errors and regrets, they only engage fear and pride. We forgive ourselves for our short-comings. REMEMBER, FAILURE IS A TIME TO LEARN.
We become unstable and lose our path when we watch other’s progress, we end up not walking our path well. When we watch another and he seems to be escaping bad effects from doing something wrong, we tend to question LIVING TAO. We should not expect rewards or wail when they don’t come. The I Ching calls it “the inferior person” when the ego takes control.
DO NOT ALLOW THE ENEMIES WITHIN TO TAKE CONTROL.
TAKE CARE, STAY WELL, ALWAYS STAY HEALTHY. HAVE FAITH. THANK YOU.
