CHALLENGE…Winnegrad

How do you absorb or interpret; When a teacher/advisor says you are not doing well enough that you should change your major, or a coach says no you are not playing well enough to stay on the team, or a boss saying this isn’t the right profession for you. These statements happened to me. I do not want to appear like I am bragging but as Muhammad Ali said; “IT IS NOT BRAGGING IF IT IS TRUE.” I took these moments as a CHALLENGE. I became a chemist with a master’s degree even though I was told to pick another profession. Even though my lacrosse coach in college told me I may not make it, I was a defenseman that played my last three years playing in all games making honorable mention. With work I developed a different way to smell with emotion, color and shape. Then developed many successful fragrances. THIS IS TRUE, SO PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER IT BRAGGING.

So what I am trying to get across is that if someone tries to change your dream, your desire, then work hard to change their perspective. WORK VERY HARD. Dedicate yourself to your dream and end up flying in the eyes of others. A CHALLENGE is only another person’s perspective, something with hard dedicated work can easily change that person’s perspective. Don’t let anybody’s negative, non-constructive comments alter your dream.

Talk to your friends, your children, other people’s children and convince them that their “talents” can be improved with EXTRA HARD DEDICATED WORK. PUT IN EXTRA EFFORT DAILY. GO FLY WITH YOUR DREAMS.

TAKE CARE, STAY WELL, STAY HEALTHY. HAVE FAITH. THANK YOU.

  1. This is a beautiful reminder. Thank you Dad for being such a loving and caring father who raised me on his own at a time when that was not done, or going for a run and getting pulled over by the police, because that was not considered normal. Way to demonstrate the Art of Being Different.
    Love you Numero Uno Papa!
