“BY NO MEANS”, is; No, No way, absolutely not. Very difficult words and expression for a person to hear. Mainly a young teenager. I knew a young teenager, that was in his junior year, who had a PASSION for football. He went to the high school coach and asked if he could play on the team in his senior year. The coach said, “BY NO MEANS”, You have no experience. The boy disliked hearing the word NO linked to his PASSION, his enthusiasm, his love. So the young boy dedicated his summer practicing catching the football, even catching it while looking directly in the sun. That boy went to the tryouts and made the team. He started and played every game, making honorable mention.

That same boy went to college and majored in chemistry. At the end of his first semester in college his advisor told him to change his major. The advisor said you “ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT succeed” in getting a degree in chemistry. Again the word NO linked to his PASSION, enthusiasm and love for chemistry was not acceptable. He dedicated himself to his studies and graduated with a master’s degree in chemistry. Also in college he was told he did not have the ability to play lacrosse. Another PASSION of his. The first five months of his freshman year, before the season started, he dedicated himself to refining his skills with two All-American high school players. This was a heavy load with his studies. But his PASSION, love told him he CAN. He made the team and started every game. Making honorable mention after the four years.

So the message is, if you have a REAL PASSION don’t let the word NO stand in your way. SHOW THE STRENGTH OF YOUR PASSION. By the way, that boy was me.
