LOVER OF WISDOM…Winnegrad

Pythagoras coined the word PHILOSOPHER to describe himself as a “LOVER OF WISDOM.” It is as in life, some are influenced by the love of wealth while others are blindly led on by the mad fever for power and domination, but the finest type of person, the PHILOSOPHER, gives themselves up to discovering the meaning and purpose of life itself. They seek to uncover the secrets of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, values and another’s perspective. They LOVE WISDOM as the key to nature’s secrets.

A PHILOSOPHER is one who dares to challenge what is thought to be common sense, does not know when to stop asking questions, and reexamines the old ways of thought. PHILOSOPHICAL methods include questioning, critical discussion and rational argument. Rodin, Monet, Cezanne, Picasso, Alvin Ailey, Twyla Tharp, the first person to use synthetics in flavors and fragrances, Steve Jobs; they questioned the way of doing things, pushed boundaries and changed the system, thus becoming PHILOSOPHERS.

You too can be a PHILOSOPHER, a LOVER OF WISDOM by contributing in your profession, at work, at home by questioning the status quo. Is there a better way? Will it enhance all peoples’ way of life? Will all benefit? The LOVE OF WISDOM is the study of general and fundamental problems concerning matters as existence, knowledge, values, reason and collaboration. WISDOM is in your heart not in your neo-cortex. Opening your arms and risking vulnerability is  absolute WISDOM.

One that possesses WISDOM does not have a lofty sense of themselves. Their self-identity is fused with a moral ideal. Their identity is defined by their action; when they are certain that the action benefits all. A person of WISDOM doesn’t weigh the costs and benefits for themselves, their view is for the whole.

BE A PHILOSOPHER, A PERSON OF WISDOM. ENJOY!!
