When someone TALKS to you, do you LOOK at them or do you SEE them? When one LOOKS they gaze or glance. When one SEES they PAY ATTENTION and learn. BEING NOT ATTENTIVE IS ONLY PAINFUL TO THE ONE TALKING not to the one that is LOOKING. When someone is TALKING to you only giving FULL ATTENTION is fulfilling to both. SEEING the one that is TALKING shows respect.
When someone TALKS to you, do you HEAR them or do you LISTEN to them? When one HEARS they detect the other. When one LISTENS they become ATTENTIVE, they accept. BEING NOT ATTENTIVE IS ONLY PAINFUL TO THE ONE TALKING not to the one that HEARS.
When someone TALKS to you, do you open your HEART and SOUL to them or are your FEELINGS elsewhere. Does your desire bring you away from the context of what is being said to you. BEING NOT ATTENTIVE IS ONLY PAINFUL TO THE ONE TALKING not to the one who’s HEART is not in the conversation.
When someone TALKS to you, is your undivided ATTENTION with that person and the conversation or are you indifferent to what is being said? BEING NOT ATTENTIVE IS ONLY PAINFUL TO THE ONE TALKING not to the one that is lacking ATTENTION.
As mentioned in a post two and a half years ago. The Chinese word for LISTEN consists of four sections. They are the words for EYES, EARS, HEART and UNDIVIDED ATTENTION. The four words placed together makes up the word LISTEN. To properly LISTEN to someone all four elements must be used.
BEING NOT AWARE OF THESE ELEMENTS IS ONLY PAINFUL TO THE ONE THAT IS TALKING.
LISTEN IN A RESPONSIBLE WAY!!!!

My dear friend Ron, you have identified a weakness many of us suffer from.
How can you multitask and give proper attention to any of the issues you’re dealing with.
As you’ve mentioned many times before hearing is giving the respect to the person sharing their thoughts with you, while I feel listening filters their words.
Respect and learn the wisdom of others, or conversely if you’re not fully engaged and focused, you may agree to something you don’t believe in, because you weren’t fully present.
Well done
