We should try to teach our children; when things fall apart, to not panic, to adapt. All will work out. Uncertainty should not be feared. Remember, storms cancel plans and power can be lost, but yes life continues. Our children must watch us adapt and not spiral down. This is an education of quiet endurance. It is an education of weathering “storms,” not avoiding them. We should educate our children to recover from stress early. No one is born resilient, it must be learned from one recovery at a time.
This is teaching our youngsters to trust their ability to adapt. The process gives one the confidence that life will work itself out. Many parents rush to rescue their child before they feel discomfort. What should be done, it has been found, that to let the “storm” pass, and then explain how to find steady ground. This way the child will embrace composure rather than copying it. A broken toy? We will get a new one. A forgotten lunch? We will sort it out. A storm cancels plans? We will make new ones. Small moments like these teach that life bends. But it does not break.
Growth needs small doses of stress. Protecting children from “storms” builds fragility. Next time plans fall apart, try saying; “this did not work out, what else can we do?” Let the child sit in the tension for 30 seconds. That forms resilience. The goal is not to raise children who need perfect conditions. It is to raise children and adults who can create calm in “storms.”
TAKE CARE, ALWAYS STAY WELL, STAY HEALTHY. ALWAYS HAVE FAITH. BEAR THE LOVE THANK YOU.
