Most seek happiness, joy from outside; from money, from power, from possessions. Most people do not pay attention to the prime source of a happy life, which is inside, not outside. Even the source of physical health is inside, not outside. We must be aware that pain is inevitable
We are all connected; realizing this is the birth of empathy and compassion. We must be aware that; “Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.” Said the Dalai Lama. “Pain is one criteria that leads to compassion for others. Too much self-centered thinking is the source of suffering. A compassionate concern for others’ well-being is the source of happiness.” Compassion for others’ shifts your focus from your pain a little. This is compassion. When we only have self-absorption we are destined to be unhappy. Obsessing on what you want and what you do not want does not lead to happiness. “Try to always maintain a joyful mind,” says the D. Lama.
The D. Lama says that the three factors that increase our happiness are; our ability to reframe our situation more positively, our ability to experience gratitude, and our choice to be kind and generous. THESE ARE THE CENTRAL PILLARS OF JOY.
TAKE CARE, STAY WELL, STAY HEALTHY. HAVE FAITH. BEAR LOVE. THANK YOU.
