THE DIFFERENT SHAPES OF WATER…Winnegrad

Basically there are THREE DIFFERENT SHAPES OF WATER, they are; STEAM(vapor), ICE and LIQUID. Depending on the conditions, circumstances or situation one of these THREE SHAPES OF WATER will exist. We all should take this as an illustration or a lesson on how we should be with our involvement with others. We all have the control to be any one of the THREE DIFFERENT SHAPES OF WATER.

THE FIRST SHAPE IS STEAM; to change the SHAPE OF LIQUID WATER into STEAM is done with the aid of heat. Sufficient enough to get to the boiling point of WATER. When we possess anger or fear we have no form as does STEAM. In the heat of the moment we can lose our composure and appear as STEAM. We can offend our colleagues in this FORM.

THE SECOND SHAPE IS ICE; to have the shape of ICE we can become rigid and impenetrable. Being as such we make the possibility of having EMPATHY, COMPASSION or just LISTENING to others very difficult to achieve. We can wound, annoy or anger our colleagues in this FORM.

THE THIRD SHAPE IS LIQUID; free flowing easily finding its height or depth with all situations. Lao Tzu said; “Man at his best, LIKE WATER, serves as he flows along. LIKE WATER he seeks his own level, the common level of life.” He also said that “the highest value is like WATER. The value in WATER benefits all things. And yet it does not contend. It can stay in low places that others disdain.” We can UNITE with others if we bear in mind the liquid form of WATER.

ALWAYS BE LIKE LIQUID WATER. YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH MUCH MORE IN LIFE. AVOID THE STEAM AND ICE FORMS AND FLOW NATURALLY AS A STREAM, AS A RIVER. KEEP FLOWING.

  1. I find that the EGO tends to take the first two forms of water, and the last is that of HUMILITY/NON-EGO ~ the mantra, “It’s not about you” keeps coming to mind when I find myself feeling dis-ease. When I repeat the “INAY” mantra three times, I find the weight of life lift, and I can focus my energy on being of service, or helping others ~ it is in this spirit that I feel I am practicing the virtue of fluid water flow ~ love you Dad
